DiligenceVault's AI Assistants (DV Assist) are writing and text analysis tools developed exclusively by DiligenceVault and integrated into the platform for a seamless user experience. They are designed to help you summarize large texts, extract data and insights from text, enhance writing by providing grammar and spelling corrections, general writing and readability suggestions, tone adjustments, content enrichment, analysis, and apply custom prompts.
DV Assist uses large language model (LLM) technology from core public models provided by Azure OpenAI in a closed and secure configuration. The technology is similar to ChatGPT, however all data entered and generated in the DV Assist will NOT be used for training public facing core large language models.
DV Assist for Writing
The DV Assist for Writing is specifically tailored to address the need of responders in terms of increasing the efficiency and quality of the responses. Dealing with a ton of information and drafting meaningful responses which are easy for the requestor to understand is a task, and this is where DV Assist helps.
DV Assist provides six predefined prompts, each aimed at helping in crafting meaningful responses using the existing data and making the process of answering DDQs much more efficient. Here’s how these prompts can be leveraged:
- Summarize
Responders often have a lot of information and they need to draft an answer out of it. The Summarize feature condenses these responses into concise summaries, highlighting key points for quick reference and comprehension.
Example: A responder has to answer questions about investment strategies and has a ton of historical data to refer from. Using the Summarize prompt, DV Assist distills this information into a brief summary, allowing them to quickly comprehend a summary giving a clear picture of their investment strategies to the requestor. - Elaborate
Sometimes, responder has concise points about an answer but requires to share a more detailed version. The Elaborate prompt expands text to provide more descriptive explanations, ensuring that key points are fully understood.
Example: A responder briefly receives points from his team about a requested question. By using the Elaborate prompt, the responder can generate a more detailed explanation, providing better insights into the responder’s approach to the topic. - Fix Writing Mistakes
Accuracy in communication is crucial during evaluation. The Fix Writing Mistakes prompt proofreads and corrects grammatical errors, typos, spelling, and punctuation, ensuring that all text is polished and professional.
Example: We all could unknowingly make several typos and grammatical errors. DV Assist can automatically correct these mistakes, allowing the investment professional to focus on content rather than form. - Make More Readable
Long-winded explanations can make responses difficult to understand. The Make More Readable prompt improves readability by simplifying sentences, reducing complexity, and eliminating unnecessary jargon.
Example: A responder receives a highly technical explanation of their quantitative investment strategy from the internal team. The Make More Readable prompt simplifies the language, making it easier for the requestor to grasp the core concepts. - Trim Word Count (Trim Minimally/Trim Significantly)
Users often have limited space in reports and also word limits. The Trim Word Count prompts help reduce text length while preserving essential content, with options to trim minimally or significantly depending on the context.
Example: A DDQ report exceeds the word limit for an upcoming client report. By using the Trim Minimally or Trim Significantly prompt, the user can shorten the text to meet the requirement without losing key information. - Change Voice (Active/Passive)
The tone of communication can significantly impact the clarity and effectiveness of a message. The Change Voice prompt allows professionals to rewrite text in either active or passive voice, depending on the desired emphasis.Example: A response is written in passive voice, making it less direct. The user can use the Change Voice (Active) prompt to make the sentences more direct and informative to improve clarity.

Enter Custom Prompt
While predefined prompts cover many common needs, there are situations where a more tailored approach is necessary. The Enter Custom Prompt feature allows users to input specific instructions for generating a response that meets unique requirements.

By entering a custom prompt, DV Assist generates an analysis highlighting strengths and potential gaps in compliance and risk management, helping the team make necessary changes.

The Compare feature allows users to instantly visualize the changes between the original and the AI-generated response. By toggling the comparison mode you can quickly identify improvements, edits, and adjustments made by the AI. The Replace feature is designed for effortless content integration. With a single click, you can replace the original response with the AI-generated version. The Append feature inserts the AI-generated response directly after the original text or selected portion. This is particularly useful when you want to expand on existing content without losing the context provided by the original response. - Copy: Flexibility for Cross-Platform Usage
The Copy feature allows you to easily copy the AI-generated response for use outside of DiligenceVault. This functionality is perfect for those who need to incorporate the AI’s output into other documents, presentations, or communications. - Regenerate/Generate: Fine-Tune Your Outputs
The Regenerate feature allows you to re-run the last used prompt, offering a new version of the generated response based on the same criteria. This is helpful when the initial output doesn’t fully meet your needs. The Generate button appears when a new prompt is selected, initiating the AI’s response creation process. - Apply Prompt on Generated Responses: Tailor Your Analysis
By default, any prompts you run in the side panel will apply to the AI-generated response displayed. However, you can toggle this off to run prompts on the original response instead. This feature provides flexibility in how you analyze and refine the content. - Thumbs Up/Down: Feedback for Continuous Improvement
The Thumbs Up/Down feature allows you to provide instant feedback on the quality of the AI-generated response. This input will provide feedback to Team DV for ongoing improvements.

What type of data does DV Assist collect?
The DV Assist module collects and logs data necessary for providing its services, including text input by users. This data is used solely to improve user experience and is protected in accordance with our privacy policy. The text inputs and generated outputs will not be used to train the core public GPT model.
How is my data protected?
We use robust security measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, to ensure your data is secure. In addition, no data is shared with any 3rd party without users’ consent.
Will my data be used to train the language models?
No, customer data is not used to train or improve the core public GPT models. The models are trained on a broad dataset and do not retain individual user data.
What level of exposure and opportunity is presented via ChatGPT interface to DiligenceVault?
The integration of GPT technology offers enhanced response capabilities while ensuring that inputted data is securely handled and not incorporated into the core public GPT model.
When fine-tuning GPT models, would customer data be used to train the whole GPT model?
