DiligenceVault offers the ability to upload documents within projects, which can be searched for and managed within the Document Center. Premium clients also have the ability to upload and manage unlimited documents outside of projects.
- Navigate to Content > Documents
- You can use the filters to group the documents by Uploads for documents that were uploaded by the firm, Received for documents sent by an outside investor or asset manager, and All for a consolidated view.
- You can also use the view options in the upper right to toggle between the folder view and file view
- Please note: folder view is available for Premium clients only.
- Within the folder view, you can use the checkboxes to the left of each document > Move to assign the documents to a folder, or reassign to a new folder.
- Note: folders created within either the Uploads or Received views, will also be reflected within the other corresponding view.
- You can create new folders either from within the Move navigation menu, or using the + New button in the upper right of the Document Center.
- There are also Bulk Folder Actions to either Bulk Organize the Documents, or Flatten All Folders.
- The Bulk Organize option allows you to automatically assign the documents to folders based on the As Of Date (Year, Month, or Individual Date), based on the Owner Firm, or a combination of Owner Firm & As of Date.
- Flatten All Folders option allows you to remove all current folder assignments to revert back to flattened file structure.
- You can also use the Filter option at the top to more efficiently search for the documents that you're looking for
