Blaze standardizes and streamlines how you respond to common diligence questions, covering categories such as Firm Overview, AUM and Track Record, Document Requests, Operations and Compliance, and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Diversity and Inclusion (DEI). Instead of completing a separate ad hoc questionnaire for every Requestor, you enter your responses once in a Blaze Live Profile and publish them. By default, every Requestor using Blaze functionality can then view the same up to date information directly, with reliable, real-time, read-only access. If you need more control over distribution, you can also choose exactly which Requestor firms receive access each time you publish.
With AI Document Autofill, you can also populate your Blaze Live Profile directly from your existing documents and policies. Autofill drafts responses for you, and each draft shows its source, confidence level, and reasoning so your team can verify it before publishing.
This approach keeps your data consistent across all Requestor relationships, cuts down on repeated data requests, and gives Requestors a more transparent view into your firm's diligence information.
Enter your Blaze responses once. Every Requestor using Blaze sees the same published data in real time.
Creating and Publishing a Blaze Live Profile
A Blaze Live Profile sits at the entity level, under each firm, product, vehicle, or strategy you manage. Use the steps below to open a profile, enter your data, and publish it for Requestors to see.
Opening a Blaze Live Profile
- Navigate to the relevant entity, such as My Firm, under Manage.
- In the DDQs tab, Click Open Blaze Live Profile in the upper right. This opens a new Blaze Live Profile if one does not already exist, or the existing profile for that entity.
The Open Blaze Live Profile button is available on the DDQs tab of each entity.
Entering and Publishing Your Responses
- For simple questions, such as firm name or website, type your response directly into the field shown.
- Manual entry: for data questions such as AUM or Track Record, use the Edit Values link under the question to enter data directly.
- Individual upload: use the Add/Upload AUM or Add/Upload Track Record link under a question to upload data for that question.
- Bulk upload: use the Bulk Update button in the upper right to download an Excel template, complete it offline, and upload it back into DiligenceVault to populate multiple questions at once.
- AI Document Autofill: use the Auto-fill button in the upper right to draft responses from your source documents. See Autofilling Responses from Documents below.
- Each question displays a status tag, such as No Data, Draft, or Published, so you can see at a glance which responses still need attention. The header also shows the total number of Draft and Published responses for the entity.
The Blaze Live Data tab, with Publish All, Auto-fill, Bulk Update, and Export in the upper right.
- Use Publish All in the upper right to publish every completed response at once, or Publish Response at the bottom right of an individual question to publish it on its own.
- Once published, responses become visible to every Requestor on the platform who is using Blaze functionality, unless you have turned on manual sharing.
Filtering Questions
Filter controls at the top of the Blaze Live Data tab help you focus on the questions that need attention, such as unanswered questions, drafts waiting to be published, or responses that were autofilled.
- All Questions: use this dropdown to view all questions in the profile or narrow the list to answered or unanswered questions.
- To-Dos / Drafts: shows only the questions that still need action, including responses saved as drafts.
- Auto-filled Responses: shows only responses created by AI Document Autofill. Open the dropdown to choose All, AI Generated (High Confidence), or AI Generated (Limited Confidence).
- The count next to each filter shows how many questions currently match it.
The Auto-filled Responses filter, which splits autofilled responses by confidence level.
Controlling Who Can See Your Profile
By default, publishing shares your responses with every Requestor using Blaze. If you need more control over distribution, you can switch to manual sharing instead.
- Go to Firm Settings > Preferences > Firm Preferences > Blaze Profile and turn off "Automatically share my published Blaze profile with eligible investor firms" to choose which firms should see the profile.
- With automatic sharing turned off, you are prompted to select specific Requestor firms every time you publish, giving you complete control over profile distribution.
- When you publish, a sharing modal opens so you can choose exactly which Requestor firms receive access.
- Firms that already have access are pre-selected and locked, so existing access is never accidentally removed. New firms are listed separately and can be selected individually.
- The modal confirms how many Requestor firms will receive access and reminds you that recipients can see all data published under Blaze Live Data.
Automatic sharing publishes to every Requestor using Blaze. Manual sharing opens a modal so you choose the Requestor firms yourself.
Autofilling Responses from Documents
AI Document Autofill lets you populate your Blaze Live Profile from documents you already have, such as your policies and other firm documents. It can draft responses for single-line text, text paragraph, and structured questions in just a few clicks. Every autofilled response is saved as a Draft, so nothing reaches Requestors until you review and publish it.
From source documents to published responses in five steps.
Getting Started
If AI Document Autofill is not yet enabled for your firm, a Try Now banner appears on your Blaze Live Profile screen. Click Try Now to opt in and start using autofill.
Running Autofill

After a run, the top of the Auto-fill window shows how many responses were completed, for example 42 out of 67 responses completed using AI Auto-fill, along with who ran the last autofill and when. Click View Summary to see the details of the run.
Reviewing Autofilled Responses
Each autofilled response carries a purple AI marker along with two labels that tell you how it was produced and how well it is supported.
- Match label: shows where the wording came from.
- Verbatim means the response was taken word-for-word, or almost word-for-word, from a single source.
- Adapted means the response was adapted from the source to accurately answer the question.
- Confidence level: High or Limited, showing how well the source supports the answer. Review Limited confidence responses more closely before publishing.
- Click the arrow next to the labels to expand the details. AI Reasoning explains how the response was built, and Source(s) lists the document and page it came from.
- Next to each source document, use the download icon to download the file or the eye icon to preview it.
- Use the thumbs up or thumbs down icons under Does this response meet your expectations? to share feedback on the response.
- Edit the draft directly in the response field if needed, then click Publish Response, or use the trash icon to remove the response.

Things to Know About Autofill
- Autofilled responses are always saved as drafts. Requestors only see them after you publish.
- Match label and confidence are separate signals. A Verbatim response can still have Limited confidence, so check both.
- The quality of autofilled responses depends on your source documents. Choose current, complete documents for the best results.
- Use the Auto-filled Responses filter to review Limited confidence responses first, then move on to High confidence ones.
Monitoring Requestor Access
The Investor Access tab shows which Requestors can see your Blaze Live Profile and how they have engaged with it.
- Open the Investor Access tab from within the Blaze Live Profile.
- Review details for each Requestor, including Requestor name, number of views, last viewed date, last published date, last published by, first shared date, and first shared user. Additional columns can be added using Edit Columns on the right.
- Use Grant Access to share your Blaze Live Profile with additional Requestor firms at any time, without waiting for your next publish.
- Use Revoke Access for All to immediately remove every Requestor firm's access to your published data.
The Investor Access tab lists every Requestor firm with visibility into your Blaze Live Profile, along with Grant Access and Revoke Access for All controls.
You can also check sharing status without opening an individual profile.
- From Diligence > Blaze Live Profile, the grid lists every entity with a Blaze Live Profile, showing its publish status and a Share With column with which Requestor firms have access at a glance. Hover over the column to view the full list when a profile is shared with multiple firms.

Quick Access from the Projects and My Work Grids
A Standard Data Layer dropdown is available in the sub-toolbar of the Projects grid and the My Work grid, giving you a quick entry point to your Blaze Live Profile and Service Providers requests without leaving your primary workspace.
- The dropdown label shows an aggregate count of your incoming requests.
- Blaze Live Profile: click the count badge to go to the New Requests tab under Diligence > Blaze Live Profile. If there are no new requests, you are taken to the Blaze Live Profile tab instead.
- An info icon (ⓘ) next to the dropdown shows a tooltip summary explaining what each data layer covers.
