Once you have created an Analyst Evaluation template with the required questions and categories, you can map those questions to pull responses from other questionnaires (linked with different templates). This allows reviewers to reference existing manager data directly while completing their evaluation.
This feature is particularly useful when you want to review or provide commentary on responses already collected through DDQs, Annual Requests, or other templates.
How to Configure Review Question Mapping
Open the Review Template
Navigate to your Analyst Evaluation template, click on the Edit icon from the top right, and then locate the question you want to map.
In the Questions section, click on the mapping icon (Configure Review Question Mapping) next to the question.
Add Mapping
In the mapping panel, click Add Mapping.
This will open the Add Mapping Questions window.
Select Source Template
From the Select source template dropdown, choose the template that contains the manager responses you want to reference (e.g., DDQ, Annual Request, Regulatory templates). Once selected, all available questions from that template will be displayed.
Select Questions to Map
From the list of questions:
- Use the search bar to find specific questions
- Use filters if needed
- Click the “+” icon next to each question to select it
- Selected questions will appear in the Preview section below
You can select multiple questions to map to a single review question.
Save Mapping
After selecting the required questions, click Save.
The mapped questions will now appear under the selected source template in the mapping panel. Repeat this process for other questions in the review template where you want to reference manager responses.
Using Mapped Questions in Analyst Evaluation
Once mapping is configured and the Analyst Evaluation is launched:
- Each mapped question will display a “Show mapped questions” option
Clicking this opens the Mapped Questions panel on the right-hand side
-
From this panel, reviewers can view:
- Responses from the mapped source templates
- Tabular data (if applicable)
- Attachments or linked files
- Response status (e.g., Not Applicable)
- Last updated date and source project details
This allows reviewers to easily reference existing responses while completing their evaluation.
Best Practices
- Use mapping for questions that require review, validation, or commentary on existing data
- Map multiple related questions to provide a complete context
- Use consistent naming in templates to make mapping easier
- Review mappings periodically to ensure they align with updated templates
