DiligenceVault offers ability to create custom tags for projects so that you can assign a Project Owner, which would equate to whichever user or group is primarily responsible for ownership over completing the project.
Create the Custom Field
- First you would need to create the custom field for the project in order to assign the Project Owner
- Click on your name in the upper right > Firm Settings > Tags and Custom Fields > Project
- Hit the + icon in the upper right to create a new custom field for the Project Owner

- Assign the name "Project Owner" as the name and Type = Text and hit Save
Assign Project Owners within a project
- From within a project, you can now assign users or groups as the project owner.
- From the Diligence > Projects tab, open the appropriate project(s)
- Navigate to the Summary tab
- Click the Pencil icon next to Quick View on the left hand side
- Add the appropriate user/group as the Owner
Add the Project Owner column to the Project dashboard
You can now add the custom field to the Projects dashboard so that you can view who the owner of each project is at a glance
- Navigate to Diligence > Projects
- Hit the Edit Columns button on the right hand side of the dashboard
- Check the box for Project Owner
- You can click and drag the column to the left to make sure it is visible at all times when viewing the dashboard
- You can save the new view, make it visible to all users, and make it the default view using the Save View button at the top of the dashboard
