As we kick off 2026, we’re pleased to share a set of recent enhancements in DiligenceVault designed to further streamline your due diligence workflows, improve collaboration, and reduce manual effort. Below is a brief overview of what’s new:
1. Enhanced Excel Exports (Custom Fields & Tags)
You can now include entity- and project-level custom fields and tags in Excel exports. Export preferences can be saved at the firm level and reused across single, bulk, or selected-question exports, helping teams maintain consistency and save time.
2. Word Sync for Offline Responses
Projects can now be exported to Word, completed offline, and synced back into DiligenceVault. This removes the need for manual copy/paste, supports rich formatting (tables, images, tracked changes), and is especially useful for contributors who prefer working in Word.
3. Template Audit Trail
Track how templates evolve over time with improved visibility into changes. New audit columns on the Template grid and a detailed Excel export show who made changes, what was updated, and when—making template reviews and governance easier.
4. Grid View for Entities, Contacts & Users
Associated entities, contacts, and internal users are now available in grid views, making it easier to filter, export, and navigate data across Firms, Strategies, Products, and Vehicles.
5. Responders Can Decline Project Requests
Responders can now formally decline DDQ requests with a clear reason. Declined projects are clearly labeled, requestors are notified by email, and full details are captured in the project summary.
If any of these updates would be helpful to explore in more detail, we’d be happy to schedule time to walk you through them or answer any questions.
6. AI Document Autofill (Document Intelligence Engine)
Our AI Document Intelligence Engine can extract data from PPMs, audited financials, and policy documents to auto-populate DDQs, RFIs, and RFPs—eliminating hours of manual review.
We also offer an AI Writer that turns rough onsite notes into polished, presentation-ready outputs in minutes.
And this is just the beginning—more automated workflows and use cases are coming soon.
7. Blaze Live Profiles
DV’s Blaze Data Bridge represents a major step toward standardization in due diligence at a time when DDQ volumes continue to grow and efficiency is increasingly critical.
By standardizing responses to the most commonly requested diligence questions, Blaze reduces duplicative requests and improves data consistency across managers. Managers update their profile once, enabling all subscribed investors to view real-time updates.
Blaze profiles now include ~40 standardized questions and document requests, extending well beyond AUM and Track Record. This one-to-many model delivers fresher insights, reduces operational risk from inconsistent data formats, and allows diligence teams to spend less time reconciling core data—and more time on higher-value, bespoke analysis.
As an early adopter, you’ll help shape this emerging industry standard to ensure it reflects how your team evaluates managers.
