Assign SMEs in the Q/A Center

Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and relevance of your firm’s responses. Assigning SMEs ensures that the right team members are accountable for the content, and that responses are reviewed and updated as needed.

A. About SMEs

SMEs are designated individuals within your team who are responsible for ensuring that specific content is accurate, up-to-date, and relevant. They are the go-to experts for particular areas of knowledge within your Q/A Center.

B. How to Assign SMEs:

1. Assign an SME to an Individual Response:
   • Navigate to the Q/A Library and click on the Edit Icon for the response you want to update.
   • Click Show Additional Options to expand the settings.
   • In the SMEs dropdown, select the appropriate SME(s) from the list.
   • Click Update to save your changes.
2. Bulk Assign SMEs:
   • Use the checkboxes to select multiple questions that need SME assignment.
   • Click the Manage SMEs icon in the upper left.
   • In the pop-up window, select the SME(s) for the highlighted responses.
   • Click Update to apply the changes to all selected responses.

C. Use the Filter to search SMEs

Once you’ve added the SMEs, you can filter responses based on their name:

• Click on the Apply Filter icon at the top right

• Along with other filters, click on the plus icon to add an additional criteria

• Then select SME from the dropdown and choose the appropiate SME name

• Click on start searching to get the results.

D. Reason to assign SMEs

Assigning SMEs ensures that:

• Each response is the responsibility of a knowledgeable team member.
• Content is updated in a timely manner by the right person.
• Accountability is clear, making it easier to maintain accurate and high-quality content.

Assigning SMEs is essential for keeping your Q/A Center up to date and accurate.
